What is OBRA?

Old Bassett Residents Association (OBRA) has simple aims:

Anything from community news and issues to crime prevention, planning applications to our own special events. OBRA wants to enhance the quality of life we enjoy in our area, influence change and give you a voice in your community. We have been involved in local issues since 2002, sometimes in conjunction with neighbouring Residents’ associations. We maintain close links with our City Councillors, Local MP and local Police Beat Officers.  More….

Bassett Neighbourhood Plan - January 2015 Revision.

Following the public consultation late in 2014, the draft Bassett Neighbourhood Plan has been modified in response to the submitted comments.

The new version of the Plan, a proposed timeline for completion, a summary of the changes and statements of conformity with Council Policies can be found here.

What’s next? - a further 6 week public consultation on the revisions began on 10th February and ends on 24th March. This period will allow residents and others who commented on, or were contacted for, last year’s public consultation, to view the amendments. Council will write to all of the statutory consultees to notify them. At the end of this six week process, the Forum will meet to deal with any further issues that arise, prior to the plan being submitted to the independent inspector.

It is hoped that the referendum will be held in September 2015.
