What is OBRA?

Old Bassett Residents Association (OBRA) has simple aims:

Anything from community news and issues to crime prevention, planning applications to our own special events. OBRA wants to enhance the quality of life we enjoy in our area, influence change and give you a voice in your community. We have been involved in local issues since 2002, sometimes in conjunction with neighbouring Residents’ associations. We maintain close links with our City Councillors, Local MP and local Police Beat Officers.  More….

Our local area is rich in heritage and has a unique character  and a vibrant and friendly community  with diverse housing types, local shops and businesses. We are close to the City, University and Hospital, yet border wonderful open spaces like the Common and Outdoor Sports Centre.
