What is OBRA?

Old Bassett Residents Association (OBRA) has simple aims:

Anything from community news and issues to crime prevention, planning applications to our own special events. OBRA wants to enhance the quality of life we enjoy in our area, influence change and give you a voice in your community. We have been involved in local issues since 2002, sometimes in conjunction with neighbouring Residents’ associations. We maintain close links with our City Councillors, Local MP and local Police Beat Officers.  More….

The Bassett Neighbourhood Plan has been formally published. The overview main document (PDF format) can be downloaded from here. The individual area and street plans will be added when it is published on the Council’s WWW site. An external inspection / scrutiny  of the plan is underway and subject to passing that review, the Plan will then be open for public consultation. The consultation period is 6 weeks, currently anticipated to run from 23rd August to 3rd October and the referendum will be held after that, hopefully before the end of the year. More….

A public meeting on the Plan will be held on 18th September, 7:30pm, All Saints Church.
