What is OBRA?

Old Bassett Residents Association (OBRA) has simple aims:

Anything from community news and issues to crime prevention, planning applications to our own special events. OBRA wants to enhance the quality of life we enjoy in our area, influence change and give you a voice in your community. We have been involved in local issues since 2002, sometimes in conjunction with neighbouring Residents’ associations. We maintain close links with our City Councillors, Local MP and local Police Beat Officers.  More….

Bassett Post Office Update
There is still no certain information over the closure of One Stop in Winchester Road, or the Post Office contained therein. OBRA has held a Special General Meeting of members to authorise the setting up of a Working Party to pursue the retention of the Post Office in this vicinity, and undertake a campaign to achieve that. If you wish to help, you are welcome to contact: Quintin Gee by email or drop your contact details in at 12 Pointout Close.

Next OBRA Committee meeting

Date T.B.A.. If you have any concerns to be raised, please get in touch with a committee member, or our secretary, through our contact page.
