Old Bassett - a special place

Our local area is rich in heritage and has a unique character  and a vibrant and friendly community  with diverse housing types, local shops and businesses. We are close to the City, University and Hospital, yet border wonderful open spaces like the Common and Outdoor Sports Centre.

Get updates through facebook: we will be making increased use of our facebook page to notify residents of new and updated planning applications, police and trading standards information, local events and other, short-term information in a timely fashion. HMO licensing: earlier this year Council consulted on proposals to extend its HMO licensing scheme to additional City  wards, including Bassett. The scheme aims to improve housing conditions in thousands of properties across the City and to ensure the health and safety of tenants. The new licensing scheme came into effect in October 2015. .More….

Neighbourhood Plan for Bassett to help it decide planning

applications in the neighbourhood area?”

The Neighbourhood Plan for Bassett has been developed over the last 3 years, by your Bassett Neighbourhood Forum following consultation with twelve local resident associations, 3 public consultations and hundreds of responses from local Bassett residents.
